Meet Gabriel Nguyen
Gabriel Nguyen is a mortgage loan originator with over a decade of experience helping clients find financing solutions.
His family immigrated to the United States, and Gabriel grew up watching successful family members build successful careers in sales and technology. From an early age, he learned that hard work creates opportunity, but results ultimately come down to the numbers.
Gabriel studied mathematics in college because numbers always came naturally to him. He began his career in furniture sales before moving into the automotive industry, where he learned how to understand people, solve problems, and communicate clearly.
Mortgage lending brought those skills together. It allowed Gabriel to use numbers to help people make important financial decisions that could affect their families for years.
As Gabriel puts it, “I'm basically selling dollars if the numbers make sense.”
Earlier in his mortgage career, Gabriel worked with direct lenders with limited guidelines. He often watched qualified borrowers get turned down because the right loan program wasn't being offered.
That experience led him to West Capital Lending, where he gained access to more than 150 lending partners. This allows him to explore more options and take on files that other lenders may not know how to structure.
Gabriel specializes in challenging loan scenarios where there is lots of equity, including low credit scores, nontraditional income, self-employed borrowers, creative loan structures, and applicants who have already been rejected elsewhere. During his strongest year, he helped fund more than $100 million in loans. Some of his proudest moments have come from closing loans that borrowers were told could not be done.
His approach is straightforward. He reviews the numbers, explains the available options, and tells clients the truth from the beginning.
When a loan makes sense, he works to get it closed. When it does not, he explains why so the client can make an informed decision without wasting time.
